How to Report a Concern
Northeastern University expects all members of the community to conduct themselves according to the highest ethical standards. All of our endeavors – including research, academic, business, athletic, community relations, and student affairs – must be grounded in ethical principles, conducted according to the utmost standards of integrity, and carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and university policies.
The Anonymous & Confidential Reporting Hotline, hosted by EthicsPoint, provides an alternative channel for you to report activities that may involve unethical or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior in violation of Northeastern University’s established policies and procedures. We expect reports submitted through the reporting hotline will be made in good faith to address legitimate issues or concerns. In accordance with the Whistleblower Policy, individuals who make a report in good faith shall not be subject to retaliation.
Reports submitted to the Anonymous & Confidential Reporting Hotline will be forwarded to Audit & Advisory Services for review. The reporter should provide detailed information about their concern so the matter can be properly reviewed. Audit & Advisory Services will consult and forward the report to the appropriate University personnel based on the nature of the report. Reports will be investigated promptly and discreetly.
If you file a report through EthicsPoint, you are encouraged to return to the website or call back after five business days. The University may have information for you regarding your report or may request additional information that is necessary to complete an initial review.
